Worldwide Motor Sdn Bhd, a motor vehicle dealer, was incorporated in Negara Brunei Darussalam in October 1978. The company was then the sole dealer of Nissan and Suzuki vehicles.
In 1996, in recognition of its market penetration, excellent sales and customers’ satisfaction records, it was awarded the Excellent Dealer Award by Japan’s Suzuki Motor Corporation.
In April 1998, the company was appointed the sole distributor for Mitsuoka classic vehicles from Japan. The company’s foresight in the potential demand resulted in the capture of that unique market never before ventured into by competitors.
A significant growth in market share was recorded after June 1999 when the company was awarded the sole distributorship for the Malaysian Proton vehicles. The company now markets a wide range of private and commercial, as well as used vehicles. The latest models are added to its range immediately when they are marketed in Malaysia.
